The 2018 Tor Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon is sensational. Offering a wonderful sense of elegance and sheer class, this fabulous Cabernet instantly impresses with its pretty aromatic profile of black cherries and crème de cassis which are woven together with graphite, spring flowers, licorice and exotic spices that all slowly take shape in the glass. On the palate this is medium-plus to full-bodied, with beautifully polished tannins that provide excellent structure. It continues to impress with its incredible overall balance of ripe fruit and lovely underlying acidity that results in a remarkable fresh character which persists all the way through the spectacular finish. This is an absolutely marvelous Cabernet Sauvignon from Tor that should go on to evolve gracefully for many years to come.

Lots of dark plums and berries with some fresh bay leaf. Full-to medium-bodied with round, velvety tannins, but in a reserved way. So delicious now. Selection of Terra Roja and Skellenger vineyards. Drink now or hold.

The 2019 ‘Oakville’ Cabernet Sauvignon is a barrel selection wine coming from the Tierra Roja and Skellenger Vineyards. Aged in a combination of Taransaud and Darnajou oak barrels for 20 months, this offers sweetened pipe tobacco and leather which combine with ripe cassis and iron tones on the nose. The palate is very soft and inviting, with a seamless texture and glorious sense of length. Generous, this is beautifully made Napa Cabernet Sauvignon that has both great extraction and verve that will easily store fore the next fifteen to twenty years. Drink 2022-2040
