Wow. Best ever from here? Powerful aromas of chili, crushed blackberries and rose water. Full body, with juicy, soft and velvety tannins. This goes on for minutes. Fruit forward. Try in 2018.

The 2009 Gazin has a perfumed, quite floral bouquet with copious wild strawberry and boysenberry fruit, singed leather and undergrowth aromas coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannin, perhaps a little rustic compared to its peers. Earthier and a little more angular towards the finish, but I quite appreciate that aspect of its personality. Not a crowd pleaser necessarily, but a fascinating and engaging Pomerol. Tasted at BI Wines & Spirits Ten Year On tasting. Drink 2022-2040

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The 2009 Gazin is deep garnet colored and gives up broody tar and truffles notes over a core of baked plums, blackberry compote and charred meat plus a waft of leather. Full-bodied, firm and chewy, it has a good core of concentrated, savory flavors and an earthy finish. Drink 2019-2033

This has it all in place—dark, smoldering tobacco and cocoa notes, rich plum sauce, braised fig and steeped black currant fruit, joined by lengthy, mouthcoating, tar-tinged grip. Still youthfully raw, though, so cellar for maximum effect. Best from 2014 through 2028. 5,541 cases made. Drink 2017-2046
