The winery’s main wine is a real hit. 100% Callet. The local Callet grape variety owes its success to FrancescGrimalt. One of the co-founders and former pioneers at Anima Negra and its creator. The nose of the 4 Kilos is characterized by the fantastically fragrant cherry, almost beguilingly beautiful. Real fruit, never candy. Captured by animal notes such as leather and roasted notes of coffee and cocoa. The 14-month maturation in new French Allier oak barrels brings a great suppleness to the nose, but especially in the mouth. Here again, rich black cherry, blueberry and blackcurrant finesse. Mediterranean herbs spice up the palate. The finish is again as intoxicatingly sweet as on the nose. Wow. The light acidity, the fine tannin structure and the incredibly round fullness intertwine extremely harmoniously. Already graceful despite its youth. If you like it a little stronger and more rustic, go for the Anima Negra; if you’re looking for harmony and great, fine Burgundian elegance, this is the wine for you. Two Mallorcan wines, almost equal (4 kilos is better) and yet not comparable. Two different giants, but both imposing. The choice is yours.

The super harmonious, elegant and fresh 2022 4 Kilos transcends the very warm and dry year, keeping the elegance, ethereal character and a contained 12% alcohol while showing clean and intense aromas and flavors and very fine chalky tannins. The 35 liters of rain at the end of August allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and develop full aromas and flavors, and the rain in mid-September didn’t affect these vines. Fifty percent of the volume fermented in oak vat and the other half in stainless steel, and the wine matured in 225- and 600-liter Allier oak barrels for 12 months. 16,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2024.

Translucent cherry red. Tart, with personality, prestigious, and persistent. Expressive fruit and dried floral notes on the nose. Juicy and long on the palate.
