Over the half-century of his tenureship at Domaines de Ladoucette, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette has become one of the most influential names in the Loire Valley. De Ladoucette is renowned for producing some of the world’s finest Sauvignon Blancs. Their Grande Cuvée of Pouilly-Fumé ‘Baron de L’ is produced exclusively in the best years and from the first pressing of the estate’s grapes. Matured on lees for up to 6 months. At 165ha, the estate, known as Château du Nozet, is one of the largest in the Pouilly region and produces about 10% of the wines of the entire Pouilly Fumé appellation. Tasting Note
Pale golden-green in colour. The nose is delicate with ripe fruit such as pear and white peach. It also has complex notes of beeswax, vanilla and flint. The palate is fresh and fruity, fleshy and robust, and has good structure. Lovely balance of fruit and structure. A very long finish
